What is recovery like?

Since it is a non-surgical procedure, the healing and recovery are virtually non-existent. Most patients are able to return to work the next day if they want to and only have a tiny bit of discomfort at the site where blood is drawn or the injection takes place. The process is no more painful than a shot. 

What exactly is PRP?

“PRP” stands for platelet-rich plasma – a component of your own blood with a higher concentration of platelets. Platelets play a critical role in healing by releasing growth factors, which repair tissue. When used for hair restoration, the growth factors released by the platelets stimulate hair follicle growth.

How soon will I see results?

We find that most of our patients will see results in 3-6 months, with most patients seeing results at 4 months. It will vary for each patient. 

How effective is the procedure?

The expected results vary from patient to patient. When patients are good candidates and follow the therapy procedure as instructed, they can often expect excellent results. 

How is the procedure performed?
